General Hospital Spoilers: Marshall Wants Portia and Curtis Back Together — But Curtis Doesn’t
General Hospital spoilers reveal Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) is going to pull out all the stops hoping to help his son, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to reunite with his new bride, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), but it won’t be enough. Curtis isn’t interested in reconciling right now. He can’t stomach the thought of being in Portia’s presence, much less moving home and making their marriage work.
They’ve been fairly paralyzed since their wedding night when the truth came out that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might be Curtis’ daughter. How are they ever supposed to move forward and get on with their lives if Curtis won’t even talk to Portia? Marshall’s good intentions won’t pay off in kind.
General Hospital Spoilers — Curtis is Stuck
Marshall can see that his son is struggling to take the next step, but he truly believes Portia is the best thing for Curtis. He just wants his family to be whole again, and Curtis will glean that, which might cause him to suspect Marshall’s meddling is more about his own emotional needs being met than looking out for Curtis.
Marshall may not have Schizophrenia after all. Great, but that doesn’t mean he’s not emotionally sensitive right now and looking for any kind of stability to hold onto. It’s almost as if Portia and Curtis’ split has been akin to a child’s parents divorcing for Marshall. He just wants them to kiss and make up. Easier said than done.
GH Spoilers Hint Marshall Gives Him a Nudge
Who is Marshall to think he knows what is best for Curtis? He’s never even spent a day with his adult son without Portia in his life. He didn’t know Curtis when he was married to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). He doesn’t know his history at all, which means he also doesn’t know the warning signs to look for that suggest Curtis is about to go off the rails.
General Hospital Spoilers — He May Push Him Too Far
When Marshall keeps pushing, it could backfire in a very big way. Curtis probably won’t bite his old man’s head off, but his risky behavior will draw lines between them anyway that end up keeping Marshall at arms length. Curtis knows how to drive a wedge when it suits him; just ask Jordan. But why would he want to sever ties with anyone but Portia right now?
