General Hospital spoilers reveal Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has been living life by the seat of her pants over the last year. Recovering from the loss of her kidney was brutal, but she saw her recovery as a new lease on life.
Now, she’s got a new career as Deputy Mayor to make the most of, but she’s still got that nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she doesn’t really want to be alone forever.
For a minute there, she thought she might travel backward to a time when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) still loved her. As that theory burned out, Jordan jumped head-first into what could’ve been a new relationship but quickly wasn’t.
Now, we’re left wondering if the latest sparks flying between her and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) are just as much of a nothingburger as the last two men were.
However, there is a thin line between love and hate, and a tryst between Jordan and Brick could easily lead to something far more serious than just romance.
General Hospital Spoilers — Bad Optics
The elephant in the room is obviously that Jordan doesn’t typically get involved with guys who are on the other side of the law. She has a long track record with romance — and it doesn’t typically end well — but she’s more or less stuck to the alleged good guys.
Going into a relationship knowing full well that the man she’s dating is involved in illegal activity can’t be a good move for her heart or her career.
GH Spoilers Suggest the Mayor Turns Her Cheek
Jordan might not think she has to openly discuss her interpersonal relationships with her superior, but she’s also used to being the superior.
Now that she’s deputy to the best mayor Port Charles has ever had, she may have some reservations about revealing the torrid love affair she starts with Brick, to Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Unfortunately, that could also be what leads her down a dangerous path of riding this relationship out alone without anyone to keep her in check when it goes off the rails.
General Hospital Spoilers — Corruption and Compromise
Certainly, it’s not going to be Laura who comes in with her moral compass to chastise Jordan, but a familiar face whose opinion Jordan holds dear would do just as well.
Do we see Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) looking back toward his past once he starts to regain function of his legs and finds that his ex-wife truly is moving on?
He may have thought his feelings for her were dead and gone, but that was easy to tell himself — from a wheelchair. With a new lease on life, he just might be fueled by jealousy when he sees how happy Jordan is with Brick. Here we go again?
Don’t go too far. We’re dishing out all the GH news and spoilers every day.
