A photo in SOD shows Jason with a smiling Carly in her kitchen, and he looks pretty happy himself, or at least a sense of relief is clearly shown on his face. He may tell her that Sonny walked away from the mob too, or at least they’re in the stage of transitioning.
Will Jason and Sonny work together again in a legitimate business-it’s too soon to tell, but only the mob business relationship is over, not the friendship.

The Start Of A Brand New Chapter
It’s the start of a brand new chapter, not only for Jason, but for Carly, and for Sonny and all of his family members. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) already expressed how relieved he was, he doesn’t have to worry about compromising himself as a cop anymore!
With no five families, even Selena Wu (Lydia Look) gone, unless a new mob hits Port Charles, it’s the perfect time-and even Sonny was thinking about walking away for a long time.
But it’s probably best not to publicize it, since if there were any new mobsters with their eyes on Port Charles, the thought of it being Sonny’s territory is likely a deterrent.
A Going Away From The Mob Party?
It might be fun for Carly to throw a” going away from the mob party” for Jason, Sonny, and close friends and family, because after over thirty years, that is something to celebrate!
Sonny was mobbed up for about ten years before Jason started working for him, and he got involved as a teenager-a little younger than Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) is now.
Jason was in his early twenties and recovering from the traumatic brain injury he suffered when he was thrown from a drunk AJ Quartermaine’s (Sean Kanan) car.
You have to admit, it’s really going to be a change for Sonny and Jason as they enter a brand new world. And from everything that’s been teased about this storyline, it will be something beautiful!
