General Hospital Spoilers suggest that fans have been very worried about Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) lately. Monica has not been seen on screen for a while and is always at a conference or something.
Recently, Monica talked to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) on the phone. Are GH writers setting up Monica’s exit from the show?
General Hospital Spoilers – Monica Quartermaine Is A Well Known Cardiologist
General Hospital Spoilers reveal that Monica is a well-known cardiologist which is why she attends all of these conferences etc.
However, fans are quite accustomed to Monica being at home because she and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) always add some spice to the household when they are together.
Of course, Tracy often hears how that is Monica’s house.
Olivia and Monica have always clashed a great deal as well so Monica being so understanding on the phone is a bit odd.
Monica seems to be getting awfully soft compared to how she used to be with these two. Monica and Olivia have never gotten along because of the kitchen, the decorations, the food, and hardly anything else.
General Hospital Updates – Fans Do Not Want A Recast
Leslie had to be replaced for a bit a few years ago and fans were not happy. Several fans stated that they would rather Monica have been cut from the scenes instead of being replaced.
Monica fans are very loyal and have grown to love Leslie over the years. However, fans realize that she may not be able to be on screen a lot anymore.
Fans don’t want to lose one of the oldest surviving Quartermaines. Monica brings a lot to the show as the matriarch of the Quartermaines.
Unfortunately, fans have not gotten to see this interaction for some time. Are fans simply going to have to get used to Monica not being around anymore?
Are Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia going to become the stable family heads now?
The New Edward Quartermaine And Lila Quartermaine
Fans have assumed for years that Ned and Olivia would become the new Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) and Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee).
However, Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) may have to exit the scene first. Could this new story with Eddie and Olivia be setting them up to take over as head of the family? Is this the beginning of taking Monica out of the picture?
Monica has lost all but one of her children. Now that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is in prison she doesn’t get to see a lot of him.
Monica may decide that she is just tired and wants to retire and start a new life. Will Monica end up moving out of Port Charles or will she be written out on one of her trips?
Is yet another important Quartermaine about to disappear?

All three soaps have their Icons. GH has Monica, Y&R had Victor and B&B had Eric. But the sad truth is that all three are getting older and their day is coming. It will be devastating but we all need to except the fact that once day we’ll lose all three…..and unfortunately, I don’t see any charecter, on either soap, that had the ability to step into those legacy shoes..
Plus, there comes a time when a person just wants to put his/her job aside and live life to its fullest before they get to old to enjoy the spoils of their younger years efforts. Fans have to understand actors are also people with private as well as public lives. The time does come when private life takes prescience over the public one. Even if the role was recast, the recast would need to be near or close to LC’s age and would want to retire at some time and same situation would be present. If LC is unable to continue in her role writers should allow her to do as Luke, fade into the sunset with good memories.
