Is it finally time for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to let her anger explode- it seems the recent speculation regarding Michael’s departure from General Hospital may indeed hold some truth.
General Hospital Spoilers: A Long Recovery Ahead
In the episodes that aired on January 6 and January 8, viewers witnessed a dramatic scene where a man was engulfed in flames, and that man was none other than Michael.
While we won’t jump to conclusions about Michael’s fate, it seems improbable that he is facing death. Duell hinted that General Hospital’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, has left the possibility open for his return to the show.
Would the writers really choose to eliminate another of Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) children, especially with Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) still believed to be dead?
We think not-it’s far more plausible that Michael will embark on a challenging journey of recovery, likely heading to a specialized burn recovery center outside of Port Charles.
GH Spoilers: Drew Thinks He Has A Chance With Willow
With Michael out of the picture, Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) might believe he has a chance to be with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).
The new politician has already hinted to Willow that they could be a couple, especially since Michael was finally ready to end his marriage.
However, Drew may face a bigger challenge from Carly than he did from Michael. Carly has been eager to get revenge on Willow and Drew, mainly targeting Drew for hurting her son.
Although Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) urged her to let Michael handle the situation, Carly might feel free to act on her anger, and even Jason may not be able to stop her.
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Already Angry With Willow And Drew
Carly is already angry with Willow and Drew-if she sees them trying to be together while Michael is struggling, she will likely get even more upset.
Watching her son suffer will add to her feelings, and she might want to take action-a revenge plan for her son could be on her mind. Imagine Carly hiring Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) or Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to dig up dirt on Drew to sabotage his political career.
Eventually, she discovers that Drew was involved with Willow’s mother, Nina. Carly would be eager to reveal this secret to Willow, as it could destroy the relationship between Willow and Drew, and even between Willow and Nina.
GH Spoilers: Carly’s Out For Major Revenge
Carly could easily seek revenge in the business world as Michael is in the process of divorcing Willow. If Michael survives the fire but is unable to function, there might be a battle over who manages his affairs.
Carly and Sonny could have Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) represent them in court to argue that Willow should not be in charge. If they win, a judge might appoint Carly as the conservator of Michael’s estate until his children are old enough.
This would give her control over Michael’s stake in Aurora, making her the head of Drew’s company and Nina’s superior.
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Won’t Leak The Video
Carly would really appreciate that, and honestly, so would we. Some might wonder why Carly wouldn’t just share Michael’s video of Willow and Drew with the media to hurt them, but we believe she will steer clear of that option.
First, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has gone through the pain of having her private moments made public, and Carly likely wouldn’t want Willow to face that as the mother of Carly’s grandkids.
Additionally, Carly would probably worry about Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) seeing a video like that with Drew in it. While we can only wait to see what unfolds, we have our own ideas about Michael’s future and Carly’s role in it.
