General Hospital Spoilers: Ethan Is Not Baby Phoebe’s Dad – Plot Twist Coming?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that while arrows are pointing to the idea that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) is the father of Delilah Wilson’s (Lily Cardone) baby – Baby Phoebe – it’s hard not to shake the idea that this could be a red herring, and a plot twist is coming. Here’s what we know.
Ethan Lovett’s Connection To Delilah Wilson
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that when Ethan first returned to town, he made a mystery phone call to someone unknown, saying he’d be at the pier every day at noon. He was hoping the two could meet up. During the Tuesday, May 5 episode, fans found out that the mystery person was Delilah.
Then, of course, during the Wednesday, May 6 show, Ethan got to meet little Phoebe at the Quartermaine mansion while visiting Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
He got the lowdown from Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) on how they became foster parents to the baby.
Ethan was very inquisitive about the entire situation, as BLQ and Chase blabbed on and on about Delilah. Chase even added that he thought Delilah was hiding something.
Ethan’s Words
As Wednesday’s show wrapped up, fans saw Ethan leave the Q mansion and head to the pier. There, he pulled out a photo of Delilah, as he talked to her and got very emotional.
As he spoke to Delilah’s pic, he said he met “the” baby (not “their” baby) and told her the child’s name was Phoebe. He also showed regret that Port Charles didn’t keep her safe, and he proceeded to burn the picture.
This is all very key to the storyline. While Ethan clearly had a connection to Delilah, it could have been as “just friends”; then again, he could have fallen for Delilah after she got pregnant.
They may have simply been partners in a scam, who did bond, but not that way. In addition, Ethan seemed very curious about whether or not any family had stepped in to lay claim to Phoebe, meaning he, too, may be concerned about the child’s father coming forward.
There’s a good chance that Delilah’s tattoo is linked to Phoebe’s dad, so only time will tell.
