General Hospital Spoilers: Esme’s Postpartum Death Will Leave Felicia and Mac with a Grandchild to Raise

General Hospital spoilers reveals it’s been years since Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) was involved with psychopath Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), but the pair were involved, and it wasn’t against Felicia’s will. For some time, Felicia didn’t know the charming man Ryan put forth was nothing but an act. She fell for it —- hook, line, and sinker. Fortunately, Felicia got away from the madman killer, but that doesn’t mean she walked away unscathed.

Rumors are swirling that Felicia really is Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) birth mother, and Ryan is only pretending to not know the identity of this mystery person Esmé so badly wants to know. If Felicia did give birth to a baby girl and put her up for adoption all those years ago after her dalliance with Ryan in Texas, Esmé would be roughly the correct age now that she could be Felicia’s child with Ryan. That would make both Ryan and Felicia grandparents, and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) by default, too.

GH Spoilers — Not a Cassadine; a Canadian

Esmé has been hiding out in the north tower of Wyndemere, against her will. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) plans to keep her there. For now, he claims it’s because locking her up is the only way to know for certain that Esmé is not The Hook killer. Waiting for The Hook to strike again while Esmé is trapped in the Spoon Island castle could take some time. In the interim, she’s not going to be receiving prenatal care. This will leave her in a vulnerable condition when she goes into labor months from now. Nikolas will be the only person around to assist her, and Esmé will worship due to unforeseen problems that were never addressed during the pregnancy since she wasn’t seeing a doctor or midwife.

General Hospital Spoilers — Not a Cassadine; a Canadian

After the birth, and Esme’s death, Nikolas is going to have to come up with a story that is believable and helps people understand how he has ended up with a newborn baby and a dead woman in his home. The first step for the baby, however, will be a trip to General Hospital to make sure he or she is okay. Even though Esmé is gone, Nikolas will not have forgotten that he may not even be the baby’s father —- and a paternity test will confirm he isn’t. As it turns out, it will look like the father was the Canadian fisherman who pulled Esmé from the waters and gave her a place to stay for a while. Uninterested in the child, he will be ready to give it up to social services for placement in a foster home.

General Hospital Spoilers — Mac and Felicia Raise Another Baby After All

When Mac and Felicia catch wind of all the poor baby has been through and that there is no one wanting to take care of it, they’re going to test the waters of having a child together by agreeing to foster Esme’s newborn. The whole time, they’ll be unaware there is any connection to Felicia’s past, although she will feel a strong connection to the child and consider adoption quickly.

GH Spoilers Indicate DNA Tells All — Felicia is Esme’s Mom

The truth does eventually come to light. There will be a surprise reason for another DNA test, and this time due to criminal activity. Everyone who has contact with the baby in Mac and Felicia’s home will have to be swabbed to rule them out. The results will be flagged in the hospital system though when Felicia’s DNA sample matches the baby’s DNA. How they put together the pieces of Esme’s ancestry from that point will startle everyone who ever came into contact with her or Ryan Chamberlain. Stay tuned for more GH news, updates, and spoilers headed your way.
