General Hospital spoilers reveal Elizabeth finally coming to terms with the fact that something is very wrong with her and it goes way beyond grief or sleeping pills. And this is what leads her to make a confession.
General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth’s Guilt Gets To Her
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) can’t stop thinking of that missing time the night of the Q barbecue. She has no idea where she really was when Ava Jerome (Maura West) was attacked but if she tells all this to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), she will also mess up Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) alibi. Never mind the fact that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) likes to call the shots in Liz’s life and talks her out of telling the authorities.
However, he doesn’t talk her out of telling Ava, who is shocked to learn nobody really knows where her husband was during her attack after all. That makes Ava more suspicious than ever and more insistent that Nikolas stays away from her so it’s a good thing Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gave her that bodyguard.
It also breaks Ava’s heart because she doesn’t want to think that Nikolas could have tried to kill her. Yes, he had that affair with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), but she did believe they really did love each other at one time.
Elizabeth Makes A Life-Changing Decision
As for Liz, confessing to Ava is good for her soul so she then resolves that she is going to get to the bottom of why this is happening to her. She has avoided it and her past with her parents for too long, but now this is all interfering with her life and family.
Those memories of something happening in a staircase have been haunting Elizabeth and she has to find out what that was all about. It could be the key to why she ever arrived in Port Charles to begin with when she was a teenager and why she has had no contact with her parents all these years.
“Elizabeth has not been ready emotionally to deal with what she knows is most likely a very troubling repressed memory,” Head Writer Dan O’Connor said in the September 19, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “But as her occasional bouts of missing time start to put her and her family in danger, she finds the strength to make the decision to finally confront her past.”
