General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has locked-in syndrome but that may not prevent another life altering situation from befalling him.
Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, GH’s head writing team, told SOD that Drew’s summer is about to get a lot spicier. Let’s break down what’s in store!
Drew’s Brat Summer
Van Etten and Korte hinted that “Drew makes a big splash” soon. We know that the Metro Court pool is the place to be in the summer months, could Drew be taken there for some fun in the sun only to have something drastic happen?
Maybe his not so loving wife, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), leaves Drew near the edge and turns away for one second and disaster strikes.
Will Drew Recover?
Or maybe Drew struggles a bit and falls out of his wheelchair; We know he may not be getting the injections he needs to keep him immobile.
Which is good for Drew but bad for Willow.
Drew’s Dilemma
If Drew does wind up in the water his condition could limit his movement thus limiting his ability to save himself.
Interestingly, Korte and Van Etten spilled that Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) has to save someone’s life “but there are those in Port Charles who dearly wish he hadn’t.”
We can’t think of anyone more detested in PC right now than Drew, and Gio has worked as a lifeguard before.
Gio to the Rescue
If Gio did save Drew from drowning, Drew’s enemies would not rejoice. That’s a terrible thing to say about a man, but it’s true.
Adding to the intrigue, GH spoilers reveal that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) get an erroneous idea after “a harrowing incident involving Drew.”
Perhaps Kai and Trina think that Willow made another attempt on the cad’s life? She did try to shoot him and is now keeping him incapacitated.
Drew Nearly Drowns?
It would be natural for Trina and Kai to think the worst of Willow given the circumstances.
