General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Might Escape the SEC’s Clutches, But Carly and Michael Won’t
General Hospital spoilers reveal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) just might be able to safeguard himself from the SEC, despite all of Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) efforts to get him hot under the collar and worried about his future. Ned has been threatening to turn Drew and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into the SEC for insider trading.
Bitter over Drew’s attempt to merge Aurora Media with ELQ and ice Ned out of the family business, the Q business magnate hasn’t gotten over his feelings about Drew’s intentions yet. When Ned reports Drew to the SEC, he’s going to jump at every chance to defend himself and Carly from persecution, but he won’t be expecting the way it’ll blow back on both of them.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly and Drew Say I Do
When Drew and Carly realize how deep they are in trouble and that the SEC will likely be barking at their doors any moment, the only thing they’ll drum up to protect themselves is to get married. Conveniently, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) have been planning a wedding that is going to be placed on hold as Willow has to go under for her bone marrow transplant as soon as possible.
That’s going to leave a perfectly good wedding to go to waste — that is, until Drew proposes that he and Carly take the plunge. It might seem soon to everyone, but they’ll put on a good act about how sure they are about it as they safeguard themselves from having to testify against one another in court.
GH Spoilers Hint Drew is in the Clear
This marriage move is going to serve Drew far better in the wake of the merger that never happened. Admittedly, he’s not going to be disappointed to be married to Carly. He is already in love with her. That being said, this isn’t the path they would have taken had they not had to. Still, he’s going to aim to make the best of it, as will Carly.
For Drew, this is going to release him from much of the suspicion the SEC had that he and Carly were in cahoots about the insider trading deal. However, that doesn’t mean they’ll stop trying to figure out how to get Carly on the hook. She is the one who stood to profit big time, after all.
General Hospital Spoilers — Michael is at Risk
When the SEC realizes they don’t have a strong case without Carly’s testimony against Drew proving he’s the one who leaked the news of the would-be merger to her, their eye is going to turn toward Carly’s son, Michael. He also knew about the intentions to merge ELQ and Aurora Media, and there is no way for Carly and Michael to protect themselves from having to roll over on one another — unless they’re both willing to lie under oath. How far is this going to go, and will Ned regret his decision when it’s Michael who is caught in the crosshairs at a time like this? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
