General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Is Suspicious-Why Does Cyrus Want To Help Him?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is even more suspicious of Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) motivations. He gave him a Bible with a shiv in it and continues to act protective over him in Pentonville-but why?

General Hospital Spoilers: Protection Racket

Drew suspects that Cyrus is running some kind of protection racket behind the bars of Pentonville and there’s bound to be something for him in it. Cyrus seems to have risen through the inmate ranks fairly quickly after being transferred from the midwestern prison which suffered from overcrowding. Pentonville seems to be accepting everything from career criminals to white collar bankers who’ve done white collar crimes like him.

Drew has to admit that’s not a real healthy mix for the prison population, because in Pentonville they’re all housed together with no separations. But he can’t accept Cyrus offer of friendship or protection at face value-there has to be more to it than that and he doesn’t trust him.

GH Spoilers: He’s Not Buying That Sonny Corinthos Is Behind It

Drew remembers that before he turned himself in that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) said he’s have his contacts at the prison look out for him. But he’s just not buying that Cyrus wants to protect and befriend him because of Sonny, and that Sonny’s behind this. Sonny didn’t even offer that to his own nephew, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) when he was there-although Cyrus watched out for him too, as his grand-nephew.

Drew tries to figure out what kind of agenda that Cyrus might have of his own and who his contacts might be on the outside and what they might be doing. He has to wonder if Cyrus might be pulling any strings in the Port Charles crime scene like he did from behind bars before-he ran a whole mob!

General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Cain Learns Of The Metro Court Pool Shooting

Drew soon learns of the Metro Court Pool shooting and that his good friend Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is fighting for his life. They’re suspecting that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Sonny were the real targets, or one or the other, he learns from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) when she visits. But Drew doesn’t trust Cyrus or anything he says and he can’t help but wonder if he has anything to do with that attack.

It was a long time before Cyrus was taken down and brought to justice, and even though Curtis was said to have been hit by a ricochet Drew is suspicious. Curtis was one of those instrumental in rescuing Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) when they were kidnapped from their prom date.
