General Hospital spoilers reveal Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has been playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Working for Sonny’s own son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), he’s been inching closer and closer to bringing down the notorious don with evidence of his wrongdoing. But just when Dex thought victory was in his grasp, a shocking revelation threatens to send his whole game plan crumbling down.
As it turns out, Dex may have a familial connection to Sonny that no one saw coming. Suddenly, this master plan devised between Dex and Michael may be in jeopardy. It seems that Dex may be experiencing some doubts about his mission along the way. In fact, some viewers are speculating that Dex could actually be one of Sonny’s children, and that his intuition is screaming at him about it. When he came to Port Charles, Dex was intent on getting the job done, being well compensated for it, and leaving town never to return again. He had no idea that he would fall for the lovely Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), nor did he expect to respect Sonny so much and be eager to take after him. What gives?
GH Spoilers Tease Sonny Has a Softer Side
Dex planted a video to capture Sonny’s illegal activity, and we can’t help but wonder – what’s his endgame? For a moment, it seemed like Dex might’ve been sympathetic to Sonny, but that fleeting look of regret at the meeting has us questioning everything. It seems like Dex is being pulled in all directions.
Michael needs him to get the job done, and Joss wants him out of the mob — the sooner, the better. But what does Dex want? With each passing day, he kind of wants things to stay the same — except he’d like to stop betraying his boss. He’s seen a softer side of Sonny and he just can’t seem to dismiss it from his mind now. Why does he feel such a sense of loyalty to someone he’s been betraying from the start?

In a bizarre twist, we could find out Dex only took the job with Michael as a means of exacting his own revenge against Sonny — his own father! What if Lily Corinthos’ (Lilly Melgar) baby actually survived the car explosion that was meant to kill Sonny? It’s a tragic thought, but it raises some serious questions about what might have happened next. Could he have been raised by Lily’s family, who may not have been the most loving caretakers and could have poisoned his mind against his dad?
If he saw the job as an opportunity to stick it to his absent father while having the cover of Michael’s agenda, he may have entered into it with plans to ruin Sonny and relish it. But now he’s sympathetic to the guy’s situation and actually enjoys his company.
