General Hospital Spoilers: Dante’s Emotions Surface After Nathan’s Stunning Confession
General Hospital spoilers report Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) seem to have fallen right back into old patterns of behavior.
Acting like the best buds they always were, Nathan opened up to Dante about his feelings now that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is awake.
Nathan seemed like he was all over the place, emotionally, and it took Dante by surprise to hear him imply he may not want to be with Maxie but would “do the right thing” if that’s what he felt James West (Gary James Fuller) really wanted, and if Maxie did too.
As Nathan laid it out for Dante just what it has been like to miss out on years of his life while everyone else didn’t, Dante got a sneak peek into what it must have been like for Lulu, and that could change the way any of us are expecting this love triangle to pan out.
When Time Stood Still
Nathan bared all and told Dante that losing all of that time was so bizarre because it just felt like he woke up from one day to the next.
While everyone else went on with years of their lives, new loves, and new experiences, he didn’t know any time had passed. He conveyed that this is what it was like for Lulu to wake up from a coma after four years too.
Time stood still for her, and she woke up with the same mindset and outlook on — and feelings about — her life as she had the day the Floating Rib exploded.
That statement seemed to weigh on Dante, like he was reconsidering how Lulu must have felt about him when she first woke up. But that doesn’t mean she feels the same way now, does it?
Dante Looks Up
For more than a year now, Dante has been grieving the loss of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Last Spring, he and Lulu came full circle with each other, confessing they still love one another, but acknowledging they can’t be together.
He has been so buried in trying to parent Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), figure out what his life looks like without Sam in it and the future they were planning, and now stepping into Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) shoes at the PCPD.
He hasn’t had much time to think about letting love back into his life, but it’s been there lingering the whole time. Wouldn’t it be all too convenient if this was the time that Dante decided to finally open his heart to Lulu again?
Maxie’s Decision Isn’t the Only One
We’ve been waiting years for Dante and Lulu to finish out their happily ever after. They were on the cusp of it before the explosion, and then purgatory hit.
By the time Dante moved on with Sam, we stopped holding our breath but started wondering what would happen to Sam when Lulu woke up. We never expected her death, or Monaco’s exit from the soap.
Now, there is room in Dante’s life for Lulu, but she may not have the same space in her heart reserved for her ex now that she can’t get her best friend’s husband out of her mind.
This is shaping up to be a pretty messy love affair between Dante, Lulu, Nathan, Maxie, and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
