General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Isn’t Gio’s Dad — Nikolas Is!

General Hospital spoilers gossip Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may be Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) biological father, but we’ve yet to see any real evidence of that.

What we do know is that Dante and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) clearly have a secret about their past. We also know Brook Lynn wasn’t exactly a saint back in the day when she let Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) pay her to break up Dante and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan).

At the same time, she moved on quickly for a hot minute with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). While some rumors are churning that Dante and Brook Lynn may have actually gotten pregnant and given their child up for adoption, further rumors are speculating that Gio is their son — whether they know it or not. But wait, what if he’s not Gio Falconeri? What if he’s Gio Cassadine?

Brook Lynn has carried so much shame over the many poor decisions she’s made in her life. This is one of them. While she may not regret having given her child up for adoption so he could have a better mother than the person she was at the time, she might have lied to everyone involved the whole time, too.

If Gio is her son and she has no idea, then that means Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) orchestrated his upbringing to keep him close while not letting Brook Lynn and Dante know the truth. But what if Dante was never the father?

GH Spoilers Tease That Girl Got Around

Initially, Brook Lynn took the bait from Carly because she was a bad girl who sometimes did bad things and she really couldn’t stand Lulu. It was a cake job being paid to hurt someone she already loathed — and being paid to go after a guy she kind of already liked.

While we were led to believe Brook Lynn drugged Dante to make it look like they hooked up when they didn’t, what if they did? That would certainly bring on some more shame.

Or, what if they continued to hook up later on and Lulu never knew? It’s possible that he could have gotten Brook Lynn pregnant, but it’s also possible the tryst she immediately had with Nikolas — after her scheme with Carly was exposed — may have borne a fruit called Gio.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Changes Everything

If Brook Lynn led her mom to believe her baby was Dante’s, then all bets are off when the truth comes out. She’ll have to confess her lies, which will at least clear Lois of any wrongdoing as it may appear she lied to Sonny.

But wait, Brook Lynn likely has no idea that Sonny knows, and so his outburst when he learns the truth — that Gio isn’t his grandson — could lead him to blowing their cover entirely and letting it slip who Gio is.

How will that change things for Dante discovering his father knowingly kept his alleged son from him? How will it change things for Brook Lynn learning her mom worked with Sonny to set up this arrangement so they would always know Gio while Brook Lynn and Dante/Nikolas wouldn’t?
