General Hospital spoilers claim Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was quick to thank Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for saving his life that fateful night on the pier, to which Jason humbly noted Dante would never have been shot if it weren’t for him.
While Dante conceded that was a fair point, he’s still going to remain grateful for the assist and confident he wouldn’t be here without Jason’s help in that moment — which extended to sacrificing his own safety to spare Dante.
So when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) brings complaints about Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to Dante’s doorstep, father and son will be in for a more heated discussion than Sonny might expect.
Will even Dante end up on Sonny’s growing list of people he’d like to avoid as his son defends Jason in the aftermath of all that has happened?
General Hospital Spoilers — Dante’s Gratitude is a Sore Spot for Sonny
Dante didn’t mince words when meeting with his father. Sonny’s anger toward Jason seemed to fill the room, but Dante made no space for it.
He was grateful for Jason’s intervention in saving his life, and he was clear with his dad that Jason had nothing to do with him being shot — although that’s not technically true if you ask Jason, who blames himself.
For whatever reason, Sonny can’t let go of the anger he’s holding onto and directing at Jason, and that may have more to do with the shooter trying to take Sonny out from the warehouse rooftop than Dante’s shooting on the pier.
GH Spoilers Leak Sonny Still Feels Betrayed
Like it or not, Jason did stay in hiding for more than two years and let everyone believe he was dead. Sonny isn’t the only person ticked off about that.
But he’s the only one holding a grudge — except for Jason’s teenage son, Jake Spencer (Hudson West). That speaks volumes to Sonny’s level of maturity and ability to process all of this.
We could cut the guy some slack, given that he has had so many people close to him betray him in recent months, but this is Jason we’re talking about.
The fans are as confused as Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who couldn’t believe Sonny wasn’t willing to take a leap of faith in Jason as he was kicking them both out of his penthouse.
The betrayal Sonny feels from Jason is the cherry on top of those he has endured from Carly, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros).
General Hospital Spoilers — An Isolated Mobster
The more that Sonny continues to pull away from the people who care about him the most, the more isolated he’ll end up when all is said and done.
That may be the perfect place for his enemy to eye up their target, and we’re confident he has many of those, regardless of how sure Jason is that Sonny is safe.
In fact, it may be Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) who ends up sealing Sonny’s fate as he grows more alone and distrusting of everyone around him.
Will Anna be able to capitalize on that by sending Dex back in to do her dirty work when Sonny is at his lowest and needing an ally? Stay tuned for more General Hospital news and spoilers to find out.
