General Hospital Spoilers: Dante and Liz Grow Closer Just in Time for Lulu and BLQ to Turn His Head?
General Hospital spoilers claim Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizbaeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) are rumored to be at the start of a blossoming relationship that no one saw coming. Last week, Dante sought out Elizabeth for advice regarding Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and his brother, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
His mission didn’t seem very clear, until she had already walked away, that is. Dante’s whispers under his breath left the fan base rocked, and wondering how they missed all the subtle cues that Dante was starting to develop a romantic interest in GH’s Head Nurse.
If you’re wondering the same, it’s because there weren’t any. But now that we know where this may be headed, we have to hope that Elizabeth serves more of a purpose than just being the woman in the middle when Dante realizes how torn he is over the women in his life.
Dante Isn’t Himself
If I’m being honest, nothing about the scenes with Elizabeth seemed like the Dante we know. He was struggling to communicate why he was even there.
He was asking not-so-pointed questions without any real clarity on what he even wanted the answers for. It seemed like he was in search of a friend more so than chasing down some kind of smoking gun (no pun intended) that the PCPD somehow managed to overlook thus far.
Elizabeth wasn’t going to be able to tell him anything he didn’t already know. But he was malcontent, and is trying to process how to navigate the road ahead with Michael’s case. For whatever reason, that led him to Elizabeth. Why?
GH Loves a Good Rewrite
This wouldn’t be the first time that the writers at our favorite soap just decided to arbitrarily rewrite history. We might learn of more than a few occasions when Dante’s path crossed with Elizabeth’s that we weren’t made privy to.
They have to lay the foundation for Dante to have grown these feelings at some point. He’s known Elizabeth for years; so that attraction coming out of nowhere requires an explanation. Moreover, Dante has been cooling his heels on romance since Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death.
Is Elizabeth a real shot at love, or another way for him to squash any interest he might have in re-coupling with either of his sons’ mothers — Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening)?
Elizabeth Deserves Better
I sure hope the writers have more in store for Elizabeth than yet another broken heart. Hasn’t this poor girl suffered enough? That being said, she was once his sister-in-law, and he’s still very tight with the Spencer clan, as is she.
Will this be welcomed — especially by the likes of Lulu? Or will Dante get pushback if he pursues her? If Dante goes down this road, and disrupts whatever she’s got going on with his uncle, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), in the process, I hope that means he’s ready to leave Brook Lynn and Lulu completely in the past. I have my doubts; how about you? Sound off in the comments, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers every day.
