General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Is Out of the Clink, But He Won’t Be Able To Save Austin From Sonny’s Wrath

General Hospital spoilers reveal Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) being out of prison is going to spark the very beginning of what will be an all out war between him and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Laying in bed with his new bride, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), the last thing he was expecting was a call from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) telling him Ava Jerome (Maura West) had been kidnapped.

Sonny immediately connected the dots and pegged Cyrus as Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss. But the mob boss isn’t headed home merely to deal with his miserly nemesis.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) is sure to pique his interest as well, and it’s anyone’s guess as to whether Ava will stick her neck out for the good doctor.

General Hospital Spoilers — Mason May Not Make It

Mason is undergoing surgery and the post-op recovery is going to be tough if he makes it. If he doesn’t, his death will likely come easier to him than it will when Sonny gets ahold of him.

We don’t know yet if Mason is staying or going, but having Sonny take him out would be a far more scintillating storyline. If Mason dies, Austin may mistakenly think he can cut ties with Cyrus, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

GH Spoilers Say Sonny’s Wrath Knows No Bounds

Sonny will recall the day he rushed to the park, believing his little girl —- Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) —- had been kidnapped. In reality, it was just Austin playing tricks for his boss to scare the daylights out of Ava. It worked.

It also made Sonny keenly aware of how lofty Ava’s ability to think clearly about Austin may be. Even since learning what kind of trouble Ava had gotten herself into, Sonny couldn’t shake the feeling that Austin wasn’t to be trusted.

He received further confirmation of his instincts when it appears Austin was the rat who took information Sonny planted on his deal with Pikeman back to Cyrus in prison.

Will he show Austin any mercy in light of Ava nearly being killed for the sake of his games?

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Is Torn

Ava will appreciate Sonny’s concern and his swift return home from his honeymoon to make sure she’s okay. But the real rubber is going to hit the road when he has to contend with Cyrus once again. Linking him to the Gatlin’s was the best move to be made.

How Sonny knows who his enemies are. But will Ava go out on a limb to convince Sonny not to retaliate against Austin, despite knowing he didn’t try all their hard to save her, and despite knowing that it’s largely his fault she’s wrapped up in his family crime drama at all?

Austin was lying from the start and Sonny knew he smelled a rat. Convincing Sonny to spare his life won’t be easy. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out if she can.
