General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus’ Halfway House Brings Trish’s Long Lost Brother Teddy As First Occupant?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that once Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) gets his halfway house for outgoing prisoners off the ground, he’ll bring another family together. Even though he may not be able to get his brother and sister to accept him, the Metro Court hostess, Trish (Trish Ramish) might find her brother there.
General Hospital Spoilers: Trish Was Enthusiastic About Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ Project
Trish was very enthusiastic about Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ (Kate Mansi) project, a shelter for LGBTQ youth. Trish had told Kristina she wished somewhere like that had been around when her strict homophobic parents had kicked her younger brother Teddy out of the house when he came out. They never heard from him again and she doesn’t know whatever happened to him, the last time she heard he was on the streets, disappearing into infinity.
Cyrus could certainly relate to being a teenager on the street, although his street experience had nothing to do with being gay, he had run over his father and killed him. Cyrus told Martin to give all his money away after his near-death experience to start a halfway house for outgoing prison inmates.
GH Spoilers: Martin Grey And Laura Collins Agree With The Idea
Once Laura Collins (Genie Francis) returns from Cassadine Island, she’ll agree that Cyrus’ idea is good, as does Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) although they don’t trust Cyrus’ motives. Cyrus himself may not yet be released for a long time, but since Martin is handling his affairs, personnel choices once the center is built may not be up to Cyrus.
Laura and Martin can get the center built, and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will likely push for counselors to help the former inmates not return to lives of crime. That would also be helpful to help them with other issues they may suffer from-and a vocational section should be included with job training. Once Cyrus himself is released, he’ll go into the halfway house himself before returning to public life.
General Hospital Spoilers: Runaway And Kicked-Out Teens Often Wind Up In Lives Of Crime
Unfortunately, runaway and kicked-out teens often wind up in lives of crime; like Cyrus did, and for a gay kid like Teddy it had to be even harder. That can lead to drug use and dealing which of course goes hand in hand with crime, and Teddy would be too old now for Kristina’s shelter. Lo and behold, once Cyrus’ halfway house is up and running, who should be their very first occupant but Trish’s brother Teddy.
Teddy graduates from the vocational training section of the halfway house and by this time, Port Charles businesses including the Metro Court hire graduates. Teddy winds up being hired at the Metro Court as a server, working under his beyond thrilled big sister Trish!
