General Hospital Spoilers: Cody’s Confession To Mac Brings New Hope!
General Hospital spoilers tease Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been through quite a journey since he literally fell from the sky and landed on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) causing them both to tumble into the hotel’s rooftop pool.
Britt and Cody seemed to share a flirtation of sorts but they never managed to take it any further. Sadly, Britt died several months ago after being attacked by the Hook, also known as Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

Mac Scorpio (John J York) suspected that there was more to Cody than anyone realized. When Cody revealed the name of his mother, Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson), both Mac and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) were romantically involved with Dominique years ago, Mac believed that he could be Cody’s biological father. He eventually convinced Cody to take a blood test so they could determine their true connection.

Cody received the results that verified that he was indeed Mac’s son but he decided to lie about it. Cody had spent much of his life before Port Charles as a grifter and a con man. He also went to work for Selina Wu (Lydia Look) as kind of a plant during her high-stakes poker games in the back room at the Savoy.
Cody worried that his past and his propensity for getting into trouble would cause Mac to wish they had never known each other. Cody was partly correct; he did get into quite a bit of trouble trying to help Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).

The more Mac sees Cody, the more he sees himself in the young man. But even if Cody wanted to tell the truth he would have to admit he had known they were related for months.
Mac would certainly be hurt and might even believe that Cody doesn’t want him as a father. But Cody will have to admit that he’s actually been quite proud of the man he’s gotten to know these past few months. It isn’t too late for Mac and Cody but the road to becoming a family will still be full of twists and turns.

I just wish GH had concluded this story BEFORE Mac went on extended leave. There is n a reason (at least not one good enough to satisfy the fans) for them to have endlessly dragged this lie out for over a year. They could have been building Cody’s relationships with other family members while Mac is gone. Now we all have to wait for something that may never happen.
Next year – and May will be about the earliest we can see John York back on screen) no one is going to care about this story – it has taken too long.
I absolutely hate when the show does this – and I am starting to not watch the show as much because the Producer loves to “Make us wait”. Something that came from the Gloria Monty days.
