Then, Ava asked Sonny if his nighttime meds helped make him sleepy. Sonny said not anymore, which led to Ava having the medication secretly analyzed by a lab.
Ava was alarmed when she found out that Sonny is only getting 10% of his medication. However, Ava also didn’t say a word.

It would be easy enough for Carly to use Sonny’s bathroom while doing kid exchange. Carly could find these pills and take a few to have analyzed herself, unaware that Ava did the same thing.
When Carly gets the results, she won’t keep it from Sonny. This is where Ava could find herself in legal and grave danger. Ava would come under suspicion of tampering with Sonny’s meds, especially due to her history. While Ava is innocent this time, it would just be one more betrayal for Sonny.
