General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Reinvents Herself — But As Who?

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has spent weeks in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Taking a walk down memory lane with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) holding her hand, she’s forced herself to revisit some painful memories of experiences that happened to her, as well as some experiences others suffered through because of her. Carly is determined to reinvent herself, but she needs a name that really describes who she has evolved into today. What might that be?

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Corinthos Has Been Done — Four Times Over

Carly first married Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in 2000, but the union was short-lived and they called it quits by the end of the following year. They went on to marry and divorce three more times, with a couple of vow renewal ceremonies thrown in for good measure. Carly has committed herself to be a Corinthos more than any other name in her adult life, but she can’t go backward — at least not until she’s ready to go back to Sonny.

GH Spoilers Indicates Carly Quartermaine Definitely Isn’t An Option

Once upon a time, Carly found herself married to A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) before she ever first wed Sonny. Some might say she was a Q first, but the bad blood she has maintained with the Quartermaine family is enough to make her steer clear at times, let alone take on their name again. Besides, she really did A.J. dirty and they’re never going to let her forget it. She doesn’t need a reminder of him every time she signs a check.

General Hospital Spoilers Says Jasper Jacks Might Lend Her A Hand, Or A Name

Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) has been off-screen for nearly a year since his firing from GH. While he’s not been recast, his role has been left open for interpretation on GH. Carly could call her Aussie ex-hubby and ask for his name (sans marriage), but the likelihood that Carly makes this kind of decision over a phone call isn’t strong.

General Hospital Spoilers — Caroline Benson and Carly Roberts are as Good as Dead

Carly was raised in Jacksonville, Florida as Caroline Benson, adopted daughter of Virginia Benson (Lois Nettleton). When she took off for Port Charles to find her birth mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman), she stole the identity of her friend who had recently perished in a car accident, Charlotte “Reese” Roberts — putting her own spin on it and calling herself Carly Roberts. Given all that Carly went through with both folks in Florida and some in Port Charles, it stands to reason she won’t be adopting either of those names again.

The most practical name for Carly that suits who she has become over the years is much simpler than getting married for convenience once again. Rumors are swirling that Carly will soon change her name back to one she’s had before — Carly Morgan. Let us know what you think about Carly taking Jason’s name again, albeit in his absence. Keep checking back with up for more GH news, updates, and spoilers.
