General Hospital spoilers tease that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) went to great lengths to obtain controlling interest in Deception.
She went so far as to blackmail her own granddaughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and forced her to commit corporate espionage in order to do it.
Now Tracy is claiming she did it all for Brook Lynn, so that Brook Lynn could take over the company herself. But Brook Lynn has other ideas for her future.

Once upon a time, Brook Lynn had dreams of pursuing a musical career. But Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) slit Brook Lynn’s throat a couple of years ago.
Although Brook Lynn survived, she likely will never be able to sing again. Currently, Brook Lynn has focused her desire to managing the careers of other musicians.
At the moment, Brook Lynn has her first client in the form of Alison Rogers aka Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez). Brook Lynn is excited to be Blaze’s manager, but Tracy’s offer still looms large.
GH Spoilers – Brook Lynn Quartermaine has a lot of guilt!
Brook Lynn still feels terribly guilty about stealing the design for the Deceptor, which is how Tracy ultimately gained control of the company.
Brook Lynn’s friendship with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) took a terrible hit once Brook Lynn’s betrayal became known. Their friendship had never been stronger before that and Brook Lynn would do anything to repair that friendship. But how can Brook Lynn do that if she takes over Deception?

Assuming that Brook Lynn agrees to take over Deception for Tracy, she would still have to deal with a very angry Maxie as well as Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
Perhaps if Brook Lynn agrees to be a silent partner, it would go a long way to placating Lucy and Maxie. Of course, Brook Lynn could outright give Deception back to Lucy and Maxie, but chances are Tracy will make sure Brook Lynn doesn’t have that option.
Although Tracy’s motives were sketchy, she really does have Brook Lynn’s future in mind. But if Brook Lynn agrees to be a silent partner, she would still have time for her true passion: music.
