General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Learns the Truth About Esme’s Parentage
General Hospital spoilers reveal Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) isn’t all that disappointed by Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) arrival at her door. Perhaps Ava has hit a new low, and this rock bottom comes with the reality that she’s just killed her husband, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). Not only will she never see him again, but she has to live with the guilt of what she’s done and will have to carry the lies that cover it up and hide it from his family forever.
Ava might be thinking having Ryan take her out of this world wouldn’t be the worst thing right now, but her mellow mood and willingness to ridicule and taunt Ryan is the least of her surprises. When Heather Webber (Alley Mills) barges into her living room, it’s going to leave Ava wondering why she and Ryan have teamed up in a jailbreak, but not nearly as much as when she sees a very pregnant Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) in tow.

Esme is still suffering from memory loss and doesn’t recall who Ava is. She doesn’t remember Wyndemere either. All she knows is that she’s terrified of the two psychopaths she felt forced to flee Spring Ridge with, and she doesn’t want to keep traveling with them. Yes, she would truly rather go back to prison. When Heather pulls her into the living room, Ava will most certainly not welcome the young seductress who is pregnant with Ava’s husband’s spawn. What happens next is going to floor Ava and Felicia, though.
GH Spoilers Hint Ava Accuses Ryan of Bringing Esme Along to Rub Salt in Her Wounds
When Ava tells Ryan his pot shot won’t work and accuses him of bringing Esme along as his hostage merely to rub salt in her wounds, he’s going to have a good laugh. Ryan has waited a long time for Ava to learn the truth about who Esme is, and he’s going to revel in being able to be present and reactionary when she finds out. Telling Ava that the young woman who targeted her from the beginning, terrorized her, and destroyed her marriage — is his daughter, will delight him in every way.

Ava will barely be able to believe what she’s hearing, but many things will start to make sense with Ryan’s confession. Ironically, Esme is still quite frightened by Heather and Ryan, and Felicia and Ava can tell this easily from her worried demeanor and the fact that she doesn’t actually want Ryan and Heather to harm either of these ladies. This is going to strike a nerve with Ava, who struggles to believe it’s not all an act, just like her father.
