General Hospital spoilers confirm that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) recently informed Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) that he’d be leaving town.
Jason told his son that his grandmother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), would be his guardian during his father’s absence. Will Alexis and Danny clash while Jason is away? Let’s talk about it!
Grandmother Love Vs. Guardian Rules
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Danny and Alexis have a great relationship. With that said, being a grandmother who visits and spends time with a grandson is far different than being a guardian with established rules and guidelines.
Danny is a bit of a wild child who walks to the beat of his own drum. Jason is a great and supportive father, but he’s never micro-managed Danny and his activities; Jason is more hands-off, until he needs to intervene.
In fact, Jason “parents” far differently than Alexis, so will Danny get overwhelmed by Alexis’s rules and structure? There will definitely be some growing pains involved, regardless of whether this becomes a major issue for Danny or not.
Danny Morgan’s Defiance
Danny seemed fine with Jason leaving and him heading to Alexis’s place; however, will he sing a different tune when reality hits? Danny and Alexis are sure to clash once he moves into her place and is forced to adhere to a new routine.
Will he feel abandoned by Jason? Will he resent his father for flipping his life upside down, once again? If disaster strikes in his teen life, he may feel as if he’s not a priority for his father, and he’s never been one ever.
After all, this isn’t the first time Jason has exited from Danny’s life. With Alexis being Danny’s guardian during Jason’s absence, the teen could take things out on his grandmother by lashing out or acting out.
From running away to simply not following Alexis’s rules, there’s a good chance that Danny rebels against his new norm. All children, even teenagers, need structure, and moving homes and authority figures are bound to throw Danny for a loop.
