General Hospital Spoilers: 3 Reasons We Suspect Ava and Esme Are Mother and Daughter

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) might have ties that bind far more than any trauma they’ve mutually endured. Sure, Esmé tortured Ava and even made a mockery of her daughter, Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin), death, but it was all in the spirit of resentment. Everyone thinks Esme set her sights on Ava merely because her boyfriend at the time, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), hated Ava and wanted her to divorce his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Esmé actually sought to befriend and manipulate Spencer into a romantic relationship and stoked the flames of hatred he felt for Ava and his father. Her target was Ava all along, but why? Because Esme is Kiki’s twin sister, and she believes Ava knowingly gave her away and chose to keep Kiki. Ignoring the possibility that Ava never knew she had two children, the revelation will bring Ava to her knees when she finds out the young girl who bed her husband was actually her daughter.

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Isn’t Heather’s Child, Nor Ryan’s

Right now, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) are both under the impression that Esmé is their daughter. No one will see the plot twisted coming next. Esmé targeted Ryan, too. She reverse engineered the whole thing, starting with tracking down Ryan and making him think she was his long lost daughter because he is the best person to help her ruin Ava. She won’t be expecting Heather to show up and insist she is her birth mother. Stay tuned for those fireworks later.

GH Spoilers Hint Silas Clay May Have Played a Role

If Ava is Esme’s birth mother, this begs the question: who is her birth father? The most likely culprit seems to be Silas Clay (Michael Easton), making Esme and Kiki twin sisters, though clearly not identical. Not only do they not share a physical resemblance, but Kiki was compassionate and caring, while Esme is self-serving and insidious.

When Ava got pregnant, Silas wasn’t expecting it. A philanderer, the thought of being chained down by two children didn’t sit well with Silas. It appears he may have facilitated making sure Ava never knew there was a second baby, which he could have pulled off if she had a Cesarean section and was draped and unable to see when they pulled both babies out and carted one away.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Conflict Between Them is Greater Than Any Other

There is no one Esme resents more than Ava. Her plan to ruin Ava’s life couldn’t have been mapped out more perfectly. She finds someone else to paint as the scapegoat for every move she makes. Spencer was the mark when it came to stalking Ava, and he took the bulk of the blame. When she needed coverage, she decided to use Ryan to cover her tracks and make it look like this could blow back on him somehow, despite him being “locked in.” Will the truth come out before or after Ava becomes a grandmother to Nikolas’ child? Stay tuned for more GH news, updates, and spoilers as we continue to dish them out.

  • Interesting thoughts. Also might want to point out that twins can run in families. Silas clay was a twin himself, plus it looks like he fathered willow and nelle with Nina
