Sure, her family is mostly in good spirits and she’s got a new boyfriend on the hook, but her love for music fell by the wayside when she couldn’t sing her own songs anymore. Her love interest, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), has brought the potential for a career in the music industry back to life for Brook Lynn, but will her unwillingness to let go of old squabbles cost her a future with Chase?

Chase is a cop. He’s been passionate about his work on the police force the entire time he’s been in Port Charles — ever since splashing onto the scene to sniff out Nelle for her crimes in Florida. Fame was never something that attracted Chase. In fact, he prefers to stay out of the limelight. He’s only going along with this plan to help Brook Lynn, and maybe it was more appealing to him when he was still trying to reel her in. But now that Chase and Brook Lynn are officially a couple, will he still feel the need to go all-in on this revenge scheme?

General Hospital Updates — Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s Many Emotions

There are some fiery women in the Quartermaine household, and Brook Lynn can hold a candle to the best of them. Her feelings have been all over the map lately. She’s desperate to get the rights to her songs back from her greedy and seedy former manager, Linc Brown (Dan Buran), but she’s also falling head over heels in love with Chase.

Brook Lynn’s dad, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), has warned her she might not want to remain Chase’s agent if she’s also going to be his girlfriend. Ned even cited how it became the end of his relationship with Brook Lynn’s mom — Lois Curello (Rena Sofer) — when she did the same thing. Mixing business and pleasure often pans out poorly, and Brook Lynn may force Chase along with her to learn that lesson the hard way.

This Twosome’s Relationship May Become Collateral Damage

Chase is already pushing for Brook Lynn to lay down the ax and let bygones be bygones with Linc. He doesn’t understand how much it means to Brook Lynn to have the rights back to her songs. She loves writing music, and she wants the heartfelt words she put on paper to be permanently out of Linc’s manipulative thumbs.

Chase is going to entertain Brook Lynn’s requests to make him into a superstar for a while, but the cop in him is likely going to jump at the chance to go back to the PCPD soon, and he may leave Brook Lynn in the lurch when he does. Will Chase feel he gave it his best shot, albeit happy to walk away from the stage at the Savoy and into a future with Brook Lynn?
