General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Trina Isn’t Curtis’ Daughter, But That Won’t Save His Marriage To Portia

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has been putting her family through hell this past week. A twenty-year-old secret finally made its way out into the open, and it has threatened to destroy everything Portia has built — from her relationship with her daughter, to her marriage to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Portia’s self-serving behavior hasn’t served her all that well, as it turns out. Curtis is furious with her and the future of their happily ever after is in shambles. Her daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) isn’t speaking to her, and her ex-husband, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) isn’t thrilled with her either. Portia will be hopeful that a paternity test can put an end to some of the malcontent either way, but it’s not going to help save her marriage — even when it turns out Marcus was Trina’s biological father all along.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Paternity Pause

Trina is still reeling from the news that her father may not be her father. It’s understandable that she needs more time to process how she’s feeling before she decides what direction she wants to take moving forward, but she’s not the type of person to dwell and refuse to do so. She will move on, but right now, she needs to prepare herself for what her life may look like if the result of a paternity test proves Curtis is her biological father. Although she’s made it clear that it wouldn’t change anything, she knows in her heart of hearts that finding out Curtis is her biological father would change how she feels about him, and it would possibly have an impact on her relationship with Marcus. However, soon she will realize not knowing is going to have a similar impact. Trina will ultimately get the paternity test done, and she will breathe the biggest sigh of relief when it turns out Marcus was always her father and still is.

General Hospital Updates – Portia Robinson Pushes Forward

When Trina learns Curtis is nothing more than her stepdad, he might take it a bit harder than she does. Obviously, Trina didn’t want Curtis to be her dad, but Curtis couldn’t help but get his hopes up that maybe he did have a child as wonderful as Trina. After all, it’s not looking like his future plans to have more children with Portia are all that stable right now. Speaking of Portia…she will expect that this resolution might bring Curtis back around to her orbit, but he has other plans in mind — like separation.

Curtis Ashford Takes Two Steps Back

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) warned Portia that it wasn’t wise to keep secrets from Curtis. There is a lot that an is willing to take on, but being the only one in a relationship not privy to the truth isn’t one of them. While Portia was hoping knowing he isn’t Trina’s father would help Curtis to push the reset button on their marriage, he’s going to suggest they scale things back instead. Just because her lie didn’t produce the worst results for Trina doesn’t negate that she didn’t trust him and didn’t put him above her own selfish needs. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out whether this marriage goes the way of Curtis and Portia’s past.

  • really tired of crybaby Trina. Too much time spent on her and her Mom. Was bad enough with Marshall who still has no story line just takes up space
