General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Sonny Makes A Connection – Starting To Remember?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will make a connection in an upcoming episode of General Hospital. Could this be the kind of connection that sparks a memory?

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Has Had Amnesia For Several Months

General Hospital viewers will remember that Sonny has been missing and presumed dead for several months, having had pretty much total amnesia when he came to. Sonny nearly died there in the snow and probably would have had his deceased father Mike Corbin (Max Gail) not told him it was not his time. From there, he was found and brought to Nixon Falls where Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) got him to the hospital where she works, and she and her husband Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) gave him a room and a job at their bar, The Tan-O.

He took the name “Mike” from the inscription on the watch he was wearing, which had been his father’s watch. Since then, Phyllis has gotten him back on his bipolar meds, suspecting he was bipolar when he had way more energy than he should have and was working all the time, and “Mike” has been a good friend and asset to the Caulfields ever since.

Then a couple months in, as General Hospital viewers will recall, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) came to visit Phyllis and take some time away from stressful and hurtful situations back in Port Charles, and although Sonny didn’t recognize her, she recognized him! The only thing close to a memory he has had was a flashback of dancing with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), but only seeing her from the back. Nina was quick to tell him she wasn’t his wife, but when Carly lambasted her when she tried to tell her she’d found Sonny, she quickly changed her mind!

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Makes A Connection

Sonny will make a connection soon, and it may be a connection to a memory that he starts to remember. It may not be much, but he may remember how he felt in a certain situation and it may come up in conversation with Nina. Other General Hospital spoilers say that Sonny will be sympathetic – and one thing that Sonny and Nina definitely have in common that he could sympathize with her over is the death of a child!

Sonny and Nina have been getting closer and closer, and although romantic love has not sprung up just yet, it seems just on the verge, and Nina may open up to Sonny about her grief over Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) who she was not told was her long lost daughter until after she died. Nina may not mention her by name because of the toxic relationship between the Corinthos family and Nelle, but Sonny may want to know why she broke up with her boyfriend. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) siding with Carly about keeping Nelle’s identity as Nina’s daughter a secret is why she broke up with him and Nina may tell Sonny.

Sonny might realize at that point that he understands that kind of grief, and remember that Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) died – with no closure on the grief because as General Hospital viewers will recall, his body was never found. He may remember the grief and maybe even some details but still not remember he’s Sonny Corinthos or what that means. This very well could be the connection that Sonny makes.
