General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Is Caught In The Middle
Stella Ashford (Vernee Watson) spent years telling Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that he shouldn’t be with Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry), the man she always believed was responsible for his brother’s death — the brother who was also her husband. She did everything she could to keep them apart, but eventually came around and was thrilled to attend their wedding in 2018. She did not expect to see them ready to divorce upon her return to Port Charles after some time in Europe.
But Curtis was tired of Jordan always keeping secrets from him — or just out and out lying. She said she always did it to protect him and others she loved from the dangers of her job as police commissioner, but Curtis is a PI and former cop, and she should have known she could trust him. Not telling him what really happened to TJ was the last straw and Curtis and Jordan realized they couldn’t be together anymore. It was heartbreaking when it happened but many didn’t think it was for good. Surely they wouldn’t divorce so soon.
In Walks Portia Robinson
It’s clear that Portia (Brook Kerr) and Curtis were close in the past and some fans even suspect he is Trina’s real father. Cutis and Portia have an ease with one another and make one another smile. We don’t see constant angst as we did with Curtis and Jordan, especially since Jordan rarely ever smiles or has anything but a serious expression on her face.
That doesn’t mean his feelings for Jordan don’t come into play. After all, he was willing to risk everything to get her a kidney when she was dying a few years ago. That’s a love that’s not easy to forget. And Jordan still hasn’t found time to sign those divorce papers, so that could mean she doesn’t really want her marriage to end. I say that even Curtis ended his marriage to Jordan in divorce, he'll have a real romantic future with Portia, while Jordan could get a new boyfriend in Shawn or Marcus.
