General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Nina Is A Match For Willow — But Willow Might Not Consent To The Transplant

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is the bone marrow donor match that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) needs, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to rejoice when she finds out. As Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) breaks the news to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that Nina is Willow’s birth mother, Michael will be stunned, but he won’t waste time jumping on the possibility that Nina could be a bone marrow match for Willow. How Nina and Willow take the news is another story.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will Nina Reeves Hesitate?

Nina isn’t going to push the pause on helping Willow. She won’t even have to think twice about donating her bone marrow to her. However, she will be stunned by the news that she is both Willow’s birth mother and a match for the bone marrow donation she needs to potentially stay alive. To others, like Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), it may come across as though Nina doesn’t know if she considers Willow worthy of the cause, but really she’s just trying to process everything that has transpired in a matter of a few hours. Nina isn’t sure what Willow’s reaction to the news will be either. While Willow would not need to accept Nina as her mother for Nina to be willing to save her life, Nina is only human and the thought has crossed her mind that Willow might not be willing to accept such help from her.

General Hospital Updates – Willow Tait Won’t Accept Nina Reeves’ Favors

Nina isn’t wrong to think that either. Michael will very likely admit right off the bat that Willow cannot know who the bone marrow donor is if they want her to accept the donation. Although it’s the last thing Nina wants to hear after just learning Willow is her daughter, there are few people Willow dislikes more than Nina. She’s the last person Willow would want as a mother, and the last person she would be likely to accept any favors from.

No Strings Attached

Michael will insist that Willow would suspect Nina would want something in return — like access to Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), which isn’t a far stretch from reality. It wouldn’t be out of character for Willow to deny life-saving care if it meant keeping her son safe from Nina’s allegedly harmful and overbearing embrace.

When Michael attempts to feel things out with Willow, it’s clear to him that she is still furious with Nina for showing up unannounced once again. Willow would rather risk inducing labor and having her daughter early and potentially dying than negotiate a trade with Nina that exposes her son to his grandmother. Will Michael obscure the truth from Willow and insist Nina keep her identity a secret to coerce Willow into accepting the bone marrow donation?
