General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Laura Encourages Anna, Port Charles Needs Her Experience At The PCPD

General Hospital: Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will encourage a discouraged Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) after the debacle with the WSB. Anna was forced into resigning because of long-suppressed DVX double agent files released to the public by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) but Laura needs her experience at the PCPD.

General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Devane Is A Past Port Charles Police Commissioner

Anna is a past Port Charles Police Commissioner and Laura isn’t concerned with the bad press that forced her to resign from the WSB. It definitely was unfair and the current head of the WSB should not have considered it a problem, but Anna was arrested over it for treason. However, Anna literally knew where the WSB’s bodies were buried and threatened to take them down with her, and as a result, they accepted her resignation.

Laura’s brother Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tried to get her out of the charges but the new regime at WSB was firm and probably loyal to Victor. Now, Anna feels depressed and useless but Laura encourages her she’s anything but-she needs her at the PCPD.

General Hospital Updates – Everyone Has Pasts, Some Worse Than Others

Laura and Anna have known each other for many years, and Laura of all people knows everyone has pasts, some worse than others. Laura is the mayor of Port Charles and a well-known upstanding citizen, but she killed a couple of people when she was a teenager and in her early twenties. No one ever mentions Laura’s past, not even those who remember and lived it with her-although there are very few left in Port Charles. Laura will not consider Anna’s double agent past let alone consider it treason-she knows Anna was a different person then. The point is that Anna has many years of experience being a spy that can benefit the Port Charles Police Department in investigating and solving crimes.

General Hospital: Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss)

Stacks Of Cold Cases Need Solving

Not only do stacks of cold cases need solving-including that of the missing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) there are ongoing investigations as well. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) can really use the help even though Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was recently reinstated to the force. Laura swears to Anna what she is offering her isn’t just a pity job, it’s one that desperately needs to be filled.

She can fill in for the current police commissioner as needed while Laura is in Russia, but Anna is also needed in the field for various investigations. Anna still feels down in the dumps but says she’ll consider taking the job-Laura encourages her to do so asap.
