General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Could A Romance Brew Between Nina Reeves And “Eddie Maine”?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that fans should brace themselves for some major developments. Right now, poor Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is struggling with short-term memory loss thanks to his Metro Court pool accident. Unfortunately, not only does he not remember his family and friends, but he believes he’s his alter 90’s rockstar ego, Eddie Maine.
In an interesting turn of events, he seems rather drawn to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Could a romance be brewing between these two?
General Hospital Spoilers – Once Again, Nina Reeves Is Struggling With Lies
GH spoilers imply that Nina will continue to feel anxious in the days and weeks ahead. After all, before his slip and fall into the pool, Ned learned that she was behind the tip to SEC, which has caused Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to head to prison and has placed Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in a heap of trouble. On top of all that, if the truth comes out, not only will Darly be upset, but Nina’s engagement to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be off the table and her shaky relationship with bio daughter Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will be in jeopardy.
Nina is buried deep in lies right now, so it’s only natural that she’ll feel as if the walls are closing in on her. She’s befriended Ned right now, likely with the ideology of “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”, but also because there’s a part of her that feels bad (and maybe to blame) for Neddie’s current situation.
General Hospital Updates – Nina’s Romantic Past Indicates She Loves Amnesia Patients
The most interesting thing about recent developments is that “Eddie” instantly took a liking to Reeves. He tried to pick her up at the Savoy, and he acknowledged during the June 27th episode that Nina is the only one who calls him Eddie. He liked the fact that she’s been kind and accommodating, which will only have him leaning on her when he needs a friend. Nina and Neddie will probably bond, and may even dive into a romance, which will make things sticky on so many different levels.
This storyline seems familiar. Back when Sonny suffered short-term memory loss and thought he was Mike, he gravitated towards Reeves at first because of her blonde hair, which subconsciously reminded him of Carly. She also kept a bunch of lies from him as they bonded. Looks like she may fall into another similar arc, but now with Eddie Maine.

The entire Eddie Maine story is ridiculous! Ned and Eddie have always been the same person. When Ned left the Quartermaine family business to become Eddie Maine that was just a stage name. He never forgot he was Ned. This is way over the top, and I sure hope it doesn’t last long!
