General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) will try to make nice with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and pull him over to his side in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!
General Hospital Spoilers – Austin Gatlin-Holt And Jason Morgan Have Something In Common
General Hospital viewers may wonder how Austin and Jason would have anything in common, as different as the two men are. However, they do have something in common – Jason’s grandfather was Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) and so was Austin’s. Austin’s father, Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond) was Edward’s son with a mistress, Beatrice LeSeur (Marcella Markham) while Jason’s father was Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and his and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) mother was a mistress of Alan’s, Susan Moore (Gail Ramsey). Jason and Austin, therefore, are half-nephew and half-uncle. Jason and Jimmy Lee also had something in common, in that they both rejected the Quartermaine lifestyle and were their own men and went their own way! Austin appears to be playing on those commonalities as he makes nice with Jason to try to get him on his side, and wants to win him over.
General Hospital Updates – Jason Morgan Is Recognized As A Quartermaine But Didn’t Care To Be One
Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Jason was a little kid when Jimmy Lee came, saw, and left the Quartermaines! Jimmy Lee was gone for several years by the time that Jason Quartermaine had that traumatic brain injury that turned him, at his own will, into Jason Morgan and he began working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as his enforcer. Jason was in med school and trying to keep his brother AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) from driving drunk, and chased him to his car in the front yard of the Quartermaine mansion, got in the car with him but then they crashed into a tree on the property.
AJ, as often happens with drunk drivers, didn’t suffer even a scratch; Jason, on the other hand, was thrown from the car with his head landing on a large rock near the base of the tree. Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) saw the whole thing happen and rushed out to help! Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall also that Jason rejected the Quartermaines to the point he took his grandmother Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) maiden name, Morgan.
Austin Gatlin-Holt May Or May Not Know Jason Morgan’s Story
General Hospital viewers can imagine that Austin may or may not know Jason’s story, but it is quite possible that he does. The Quartermaines have been a well known family in New York state for years, and news of Jason’s accident and traumatic brain injury could have reached Jimmy Lee at the time and Austin may have heard it from him. General Hospital viewers will recall that he definitely recognized the name “Michael Corinthos” (Chad Duell) on the pediatric brain injury wing. It is obvious he knew that Michael was actually AJ’s son, and not Sonny’s! Austin likely views Jason as neutral in the Quartermaine ELQ business, even though he is actually a voting stockholder. Austin, however, doesn’t care about the company or the stock, he only wants to be accepted as a legitimate Quartermaine to honor his late father’s legacy. Jason may find that admirable in Austin!
