General Hospital (GH) Poll: Do You Think Peter Is Really Dead? Vote Now!

General Hospital thrilled fans earlier this month when Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton) declared Peter August (Wes Ramsey) really and most sincerely dead and then seemed to confirm the character’s demise when new flashbacks showed the pair storing Peter’s body in a freezer in the GH basement. But is Peter as really and sincerely dead as Finn, Elizabeth, and many fans seem to think?

Peter August Still Could Still Be Alive

Peter seemed to be the character who fans would never be rid of as he escaped being caught for his nefarious deeds again and again. Even a summer tied to a bed and deprived of food and water thanks to Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) back in 2018 couldn’t kill him. He even managed to escape a fire unscathed and redeem himself in Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) eyes.

Still, Maxie may have liked him and Anna (Finola Hughes) may have thought he was her long-lost son, but fans didn’t like him for a variety of reasons. He always seemed fake and long-time viewers refused to believe Anna would ever have Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) child. We were all relieved when it turned out she didn’t and Alex was really Peter’s mother.

However, now he seems truly dead, but is dead ever really dead on a soap? With Finn and Elizabeth being the only two who knew Peter was dead and where his body was stashed, it seems clear that the character might turn up alive again one day since the authorities never declared him dead as they did with Franco (Roger Howarth) and Julian (William deVry), two characters fans didn’t want gone.

No, Peter August Is Most Definitely Dead

Elizabeth and Finn are doctors. How could they declare that someone is dead if they are not? Wouldn’t they know? And if they got this wrong, perhaps they should both find new professions. How could they get an alive Peter down to the GH basement lab and into a deep freezer all on their own without him ever waking up? It would make absolutely no sense if he turned out to be alive, right?

What do you think? Is Peter still alive? Let us know in our General Hospital poll below.

  • There are so many stupid stories on GH right now. If a highly respected doctor and extremely well qualified nurse both end up being mistaken about him being dead after checking vitals and moving the corpse then GH is nothing more than a ridiculous cartoon

    • Liz and Finn were upset at the time. They were not thinking clearly. It is possible that they were wrong about Peter being dead.
