General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that John Stamos is currently in the hospital recovering from recent hand surgery. The actor, who’s known as Backie Parrish in the daytime drama soap, took to Instagram to update his followers about his health.
Stamos was diagnosed with stenosis tenosynovitis, also known as trigger finger, on his right hand. It is a condition in which at least one finger is stuck in a bent position. The affected fingers are like a trigger being pulled and released when it straightens or bends.
In severe cases, the fingers may be stuck in a bent position. People whose hobbies or jobs involve repetitive gripping actions are at risk of developing trigger fingers. The treatment will depend on the severity of the patient’s condition.
General Hospital Spoilers – John Stamos Undergoes Elective Procedure
Stamos’ trigger finger was severe since he had to undergo an operation to correct it. He posted a photo of him in the hospital and a close-up snap of the fingers that were operated on.
“Damn you #Triggerfinger ! I went in for a quick elective procedure – In and out! Thanks to the fine doctors/nurses for taking such good care of me. I’ll be up and drumming in no time. Thank you for the good wishes,” Stamos said.
Fans may recall that Stamos was last seen in General Hospital in the 1980s. He joined the soap in 1982 and earned a nomination for the Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role in 1983. He appeared on the sitcom titled Dreams and Full House. His other acting credits include Jake in Progress, ER, Glee, Scream Queens, and Grandfathered.

Maxie wants to keep her distance so she could protect her secret that “Bailey Quartermaine” is actually Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom).
