General Hospital Fire Bombshell: Who Really Set Fire to Sonny’s Penthouse?
General Hospital’s Sonny really wants out of the mob but he’s not going to make a move until he knows who’s responsible for Michael nearly losing his life.
Could it Be Sidwell?
From the start, General Hospital fans have been convinced that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is the culprit. After all, he bought Wyndemere the very same day Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was set on fire. He even happily skipped over to the window with a bottle of champagne to watch the big moment happen across the river.
With Sidwell knowing that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was in a California hospital for heart surgery thanks to Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), it would also make sense that he was the one who sent the assassin nurse to kill Sonny. But, what if Sidwell is just a red herring and someone much more unlikely is behind the fire bomb.
The Other SHOCKING Suspect
Could the man now calling himself Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) be responsible for what happened to Michael? He seems determined to get a hold of Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) kids and the first step would be getting Michael out of the way.
The bomb also went off when Drew was conveniently in DC with Willow, so the timing could not have been better.
Now, where would Drew get a government-grade incendiary device? Perhaps it all goes back to his Afghanistan days with Shiloh, aka David Henry Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).
The two were mixed up in some sort of arms mess along with their friend Tex, but then Drew went off to Afghanistan to make things right and seemed to return a different man in 2021.
Could this man not be Drew? Perhaps Shiloh survived, which would explain his obsession with Willow and why he lives in Shiloh’s house.
Or perhaps this personality is who Drew has been all along and we are finally seeing his true colors. He would certainly be a surprise culprit while giving Sidwell much more longevity as the new Port Charles mobster. Drew cannot be long for the PC world and this just might be what does him in…

Are we really going to bring that story line again with the cult … can’t you think of something else to explain Drew’s obsession with Willow. Maybe he just loves her and was jealous that Michael finally had a true love.
I difently think it was Sidwell, he was jumping for joy, and plus it was revenge for holly stealing his diamonds . But it could’ve Drew also.
