General Hospital Comings & Goings July 20-24: Villain Returns, Recast News + More
General Hospital spoilers indicate some interesting moments during the week of July 20-24, as well as some explosive casting news to report! Find out who’s coming and who’s going from the ABC soap over the next five days, below.
James West Recast
General Hospital fans were taken aback during the Thursday, July 16 episode when James West appeared looking very different from before.
That’s because Easton Winn stepped in for the young actor temporarily. Gary James Fuller, who plays James, could not make filming for the episode as he had a real-life accident on his mini-bike and ended up in a trauma center.
A week-long stay at the hospital and two surgeries later, James is on the road to recovery.
James appeared during Thursday’s show as Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) had to relay some hard news: that the man he thought was his dad, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), was really his dad’s twin, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey).
Plus, music exec Simon debuted this week during the Wednesday, July 15 show, as Grady Eldridge has been cast in the part
. Simon offered a music contract to both Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as they wowed him during their showcase event.

General Hospital fans can expect to see Daniel Cosgrove return as Ezra Boyle during the Monday, July 20 episode. Ezra will share scenes with Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett).
Plus, Ric Lansing will also be seen on the July 20 show, as Rick Hearst reprises the role.
In addition, fans need to mark their calendars for Thursday, July 30, as Young and the Restless alum, Kelly Kruger (ex-Mackenzie Brown), will debut as the Serena Baldwin recast.
As well, Hudson, a mysterious businessman in search of someone specific in Port Charles, will also debut that day as Troy Lennon Appel enters the role.
