It is never easy taking over a character that fans have come to associate with a longtime actress. And in this case, the fans also have whiplash with the constant recasts of Lansing-Davis. Holiday Mia Kriegel first came on as Molly in May, followed by Brooke Anne Smith in July.
The recast saga originated when Haley Pullos was arrested in LA for DUI In April.
GH News: New Molly Recast
In late August, People reported that Pullos was at Los Angeles County Court where she was charged with several felonies.
According to The Daily Mail, “Judge Terry Smerling ruled the case would continue to October — roughly six months after the April crash. Pullos, who reportedly used crutches during a July 27 court appearance, has also pleaded not guilty to all charges with the trial itself set to kick off that month.”
People obtained a California Highway Patrol report that declared that “Pullos was driving the wrong way on the freeway and was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run incident before a car crash.
After the crash, the Pasadena Fire Department had to “extract” her out of her car as she was unable to exit, with the other driver sustaining major injuries and taken to a hospital.”
At the time it was also reported that a belligerent Pullos yelled at firefighters trying to save her life, to not harm her very expensive blouse.
Police allegedly found marijuana edibles and tequila in Pullos’ vehicle after the crash in which another motorist was harmed.
Pullos’ charges included “one felony count of DUI causing injury, one misdemeanour count of hit-and-run resulting in property damage, and one felony count of driving with a .08 BAC causing injury.”
The L.A. County D.A told People “drunk driving remains a grave concern in our communities, claiming thousands of innocent lives each year. Charging Haley Pullos with a felony DUI causing injury underscores the severity of this alleged offense.”
