On Tuesday, August 29 broadcaster Stephen A. Smith is back in town as Brick to help out Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Brick is Sonny’s “security” guy, hint, hint, wink, wink.

Am I the only one who isn’t 100 on the deceptive storyline involving Sonny and his family’s secret bid to keep him safe? It doesn’t sit right that a mob boss who has survived this long needs to be treated like a baby who doesn’t know what’s good for him.

That’s exactly what his ex Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and enforcer Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) are doing. They’re involved in a secret plan to watch over Sonny and see that no harm comes to him. When Sonny finds out about the deception, you know what will break loose, as it should.

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is hellbent on getting himself committed to Ferncliff so he can save Sasha Reeves (Sofia Mattsson). To this end, this week he meets psychiatrist Dr. Brooks (Michael Bell).

Sasha is being drugged out of her mind so that her evil MIL Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) can take her money and gamble.

Mattsson is slaying it as a zombified patient who does not what is happening all around her. Will the show ever let this character have a normal life?

The Week Of August 28, 2023, Brings Back A Daytime Legend

Walt Willey once again appears in Port Charles, New York as his All My Children character, Jackson Montgomery. Lawyer Jackson appears in courtroom scenes that involve Deception and the intellectual property theft claim it is facing over The Deceptor.

This story arc also has Tim Thunderhorse Halpin starring as Judge Kerr, the judge presiding over the complicated case.

Deception’s attorney is Elise, portrayed by show business veteran Carly Hughes.
