This week fans will see Jeffrey Stubblefield as Dr. Bronson. The new doc in town will treat Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison).

Last week Gregory finally came clean to his son Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about his ALS diagnosis. He was in a corner as his granddaughter who he was babysitting found him on the floor after a fall.

Later as Finn tucked her into bed she told her dad that grandpa fell and she was scared. That’s all Finn needed to hear to question his dad who told him he had been diagnosed with ALS and his symptoms were getting worse.

Stubblefield’s credits include Good Trouble.

Hudson West is also back this week as Jake Webber, the son of Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

He will share scenes with Herbst as well Roger Howarth’s Austin Gatlin-Holt. This brings up the question, what is wrong with Jake?

He may be perfectly fine, but it’s curious that he interacts with his mom and a doctor on staff at GH. Perhaps he needs medical treatment, or there could be another reason for his visit.

GH spoilers: What Happens in Port Charles, New York The week of August 21, 2023?

Now that Gregory’s secret is out of the bag, it will be interesting to see where the show goes with this storyline. Fans would love to see Harrison remain on the ABC soap. That appears to be impossible given his lethal condition.

But, the show has precedent in changing his diagnosis because that is exactly what they did with another GH character, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett).

When the character came to town he explained that a schizophrenia diagnosis led him to abandon his family decades ago. Then, a test or two later, voila, he finds out that he was misdiagnosed!
