General Hospital: Cameron Mathison Undergoes Stem Cell Treatment To Deal With Childhood Condition

General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates tease that Cameron Mathison, the actor who plays the role of Drew Cain on the sudser, is undergoing stem cell treatment. He hopes that it will help delay, if not avoid the need to get a hip replacement.

The All My Children alum was diagnosed with Legg Calve Perthes disease, wherein the blood supply going to his hip joint’s ball area is interrupted, causing the bone to die. He was diagnosed with the condition when he was a child and had to wear leg braces for years.

Mathison Works With R3 Stem Cell

Now, the actor is working with Dr. David Green of R3 Stem Cell in hopes of improving his condition. The actor shared a selfie video on his Instagram account to express his excitement.

“Stem cell treatment. This is incredible. I’ve gone through a lot of health challenges in my life. I was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease called Legg Calve Perthes disease,” the actor shared.

“I didn’t really walk until I was seven years old. I’ve gone through lots of gut issues, immune system issues, and even a cancer journey a few years ago,” he continued.

The actor admitted that he’s tried different treatments but it’s his first time doing stem cells. He’s also the brand ambassador of R3 because he’s considered the perfect candidate, given that he’s tried all other types of treatment available.

He had stem cells injected into his hip and he was also hooked to an IV stem cell. He hopes that the stem cells would work because he doesn’t want to get a hip replacement. He argued that he’s too young to get one and he’s also not ready for it.

General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Snaps

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will make a wrong assumption and snap at that mystery person for thinking that he or she knows about her leukemia diagnosis.
Because of the wrong conclusion, that person would find out that she has a health problem. Some of the characters who may finally learn about her diagnosis are Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Jordan Questions Kristina

Since Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) is the only eyewitness to Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) stabbing, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will start to question her about what happened. Unfortunately, she won’t be of much help since she didn’t see her attacker.
