General Hospital Alum Rick Springfield Suffers Heartbreaking Loss
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveals Rick Springfield who played the role of Noah Drake on GH and is a well known singer and musician shared some sad news with his fans via his Instagram account.
With a picture courtesy of Windy Wagner, Springfield revealed that his front of house mixer and studio master for his last 12 albums, Matty Spindel died from Pancreatic cancer today October 6th.
Rick Springfield Revealed Sad News On His Instagram
Wagner was with them at their last session which took place at the Black Lagoon. Sharing the sad news, Springfield started, “I never thought I’d write this but to all who knew our amazing front-of-house mixer and my studio master of sound for my last 12 albums, Matty Spindel, it’s my heartbroken duty to tell you that he has gone home today and is in no more pain. He passed at 1 pm from Pancreatic cancer.”
Springfield went on further to share that persons who want to donate are able to do so. “Anyone wishing to honor his memory please donate to your local animal welfare, Matty loved animals. Here is the last photo taken of me with our great friend, master mixer, brilliant sound man, crappy Monopoly player, and chocolate doughnut lover… And lover of all things with four legs. May the angels welcome him with open arms. God bless your spirit my dear friend. ❤️XOXOXOX Rick.”
More About The Late Matty Spindel
Spindel who is a Grammy award winning singer has been serving in the music field for the past 24 years whether as a producer, engineer or mixer. He and Springfield worked together for those 24 years and we are saddened to learn of his death. We do take this time to extend our deepest and sincere sympathies and condolences to Springfield, Spindel’s family, colleagues and his friends.
It’s been many years since we have last seen Springfield in the soap world but he stays busy with his music and also stays connected to the soap world via his very close friendship with The Young and the Restless alum, Doug Davidson (ex-Paul Williams).
