Finola Hughes, known to be a sweet person when she’s not acting as Anna Devane on General Hospital, (GH) recently shouted out Kelly Ripa. It came after the new studio premiere for ABC’s Live with Kelly and Mark. Read on for more details. (CHECK OUT OUR WEEKLY SPOILERS HERE)
The Shout Out For Kelly
On April 15, Finola, popular with ABC fans, took to her Instagram, and shared a photo of herself with Kelly Ripa. The daytime drama star had her arm around the talk show host in the new setting. In her caption, Finola Hughes wrote:
So fun catching up with @kellyripa @instasuelos & @livekellyandmark. Such a cool new studio, & as always a masterful show. These two are magic together!! Love you both x.
If you don’t know, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos debuted their new studio by hosting RHOA star Porsha Williams and GH star Cameron Mathison, (Drew Cain).
Fans React In The Comments Section
ABC fans love Finola and Kelly, so comments quickly arrived although the post came quite late at night. One of them said, “I was excited when Kelly mentioned you were visiting. So great to be with our bestie. BTW I am loving you on GH.”

The New Studio
These days, Kelly and Mark Consuelos broadcast their program from a different studio. The change of venue places their show at Disney’s main offices, situated in the Hudson Square area of Lower Manhattan.
According to People, The move came “37-years” after the show aired out of a studio on the Upper West Side. The final broadcast from the previous studio occurred on April 1, 2025. The official launch of the new studio took place on the morning of April 14, 2025.
Cameron’s Interview
Finola Hughes wasn’t in the premiere interviews, but Cameron was, and he talked about how much Drew Cain is hated. Despite being despised on GH, he got a few laughs as he talked about it.
The actor said, “You know what you guys, the only time that I’ve ever played a character that’s been disliked this severely on soap operas in my life, and it’s been a stretch, like almost 30 years, was when my character Ryan tried to break up Haley. Do you remember that?”
Next, he described a real-life hate moment, saying, “I had a bus pull over on Columbus Avenue, and the bus driver got off yelling at me saying, ‘Stay away from Haley!'” I had people hating me. I mean, I’m like, I’m a good guy. [And] I have to say the words. I just have to say the script exactly.”
