Erika Slezak Pens Sweet Message To Her General Hospital Fans
.
General Hospital fans heard that Erika Slezak would appear on the ABC show this fall, and she didn’t disappoint as Ronnie Bard. Well, the former Victoria Lord from One Life to Live found a very warm welcome from fans of the long-running show, so she penned a special message to them. Read on to find out what she said.
The Special Message To GH Fans
Erika took to her website, and there, she wrote her appreciative message to ABC fans. She said, “Thank you so much for all your emails. I am delighted that you’ve been enjoying my work on General Hospital.”

Then, she continued on talking about how she loves daytime drama, Her message added, “I am very grateful for the kind words you have shared with me. It was wonderful to work again in a medium I love. “
Admiration For The Cast
Not only did she love playing the role of Ronnie Bard, but she also loved working with the rest of the cast. She penned, “GH has an incredible group of actors and writers, and I am honored to have been part of it.”
Finally, Erika Slezak hoped that everyone would carry on enjoying GH and keep on watching. Well, given the success of the show at the Daytime Emmys this year, that’s perhaps not something to worry about for now.
The Storyline Of Ronnie
Erika Slezak’s character on General Hospital, Ronnie Bard, was revealed to have a difficult past, having grown up as an orphan in a tough foster care system. Interestingly, her role was notably vulnerable. And that was a big contrast to her powerful performance as Victoria Lord on One Life to Live. Additionally, her late sister Monica was more fortunate, having been adopted by Dr. Gail Adamson (played by Susan Brown).
GH fans were captivated by her incredible talent as her character navigated tensions with Monica’s family: particularly the open hostility she faced from Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Although her time on the show was brief fans adore Erika Slezak. Actually, she already wrapped up filming. But, folks can only hope that she reappears one day in the future.
Reuniting With Other Cast Members
It’s not the first time that Erika has worked with other cast members. In fact, she already knew Chris McKenna, who played her son, Joe, on One Life to Live. Meanwhile, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) also remembered her from her younger years in the industry. Grahn shouted her out for supporting women in what can sometimes be a harsh business.

I met Erika Slezak years ago at soaps award show. I was a watcher of One Lufe to Live and was very excited to meet her. She was not very friendly at all and promised she would come back out after she got her children settled. I think they were a son and daughter. Well, she never came back out to speak with us and I never watched the program again. Didn’t bother when she was on General Hispital. Oh well. Things move on! I survived and she most definitely did!
