General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Selina Steered Clear For Years But Now Has A Sudden Motherly Interest

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Selina stayed clear from Brad, who was adopted by the Cooper family for many years, but now has a sudden motherly interest in him. Brad was said to be the son of her brother, Kim Wu, also known as Kim Soong (Stephen Leigh) with an unknown woman.

Longtime General Hospital viewers will also recall that Kim and Selina had another sister named Jade Soong (Tia Carrere) who was a nurse at General Hospital and married a man named Yank Se Chung (Patrick Bishop) who was a doctor at General Hospital. They moved to Asia. There are some interesting questions here – if being raised by Kim’s lover, who supposedly died at Brad’s birth wasn’t an option, could he not have had a better life being raised by Yank and Jade if the Wu family wanted to keep him in the family?

General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Kim Wu Died In 1985 And Selina Wu Showed Up In 2015

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Kim Wu, who Selina claims was Brad’s birth father died in 1985, the same time that Jade and Yank moved back to Asia. Brad showed up in Port Charles as a lab technician in 2013, and he already had tried to find his birth parents as an adopted child. It was Brad who found out of the death of Kim and his birth mother, while giving birth to him or so the story was told. So where was Selina during that time? Is it possible she is the youngest of the remaining Wu family and perhaps she was a pregnant teenager and that was the real story?

General Hospital viewers will recall from a recent conversation Selina had with Brad himself that she stayed away out of respect to the Coopers, his adoptive parents, but had kept an eye on him from afar all those years. It does seem interesting that she came to Port Charles in 2015, two years after Brad showed up, as the representative of the Wu family at a meeting of the Five Families.

General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Could Brad’s Adoptive Parents Have Disowned Him Because Of His Prison Time?

General Hospital viewers have never heard Brad talk about his adoptive parents, the Coopers, and especially not when he went to prison. No letters of support were sent to the parole board, that’s for sure, although his best friend Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) did, against Selina’s wishes! Why would Selina be so insistent that Britt would be a bad influence on Brad if she was only his aunt? Granted, Brad is a grown man who can make his own decisions and choose his own friends, but Selina sounds like a birth mother wanting to make up for lost time with her grown child!

General Hospital viewers have also wondered if Selina is trying to groom Brad for the mob, considering he and she are all left of the Wu crime family, but she hasn’t been trying to draft her sister Jade? This could be a clue that Jade and the late Kim Wu are older than Selina, which also could point to her actually having been Brad’s birth mother instead of his aunt! Brad’s birth year has not been revealed, but 1985 sounds about right – around the time of Kim’s death and Jade’s marriage and move to Asia, making Brad around thirty-six years old!
