Drew wants Ava to keep Jack busy, while he searches his hotel suite in the Metro Court-he may be looking for the evidence Jack says he has against him that he’s leveraged with.
Once he can obtain and get rid of that evidence-which involves some fraud having been committed-then Jack has no proof against him.
The threat had been to tie Drew to the murder of a judge in Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial, Judge Eva Heran (Tessa Auberjonois). It was actually Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), now imprisoned, who had her killed.
If Drew can get that information, then he’s home free, and he can do what he wants, and he’s free from any prosecution. He told Ava he only needed twenty minutes, and it took some convincing, but Ava finally agreed!
Ava And Nina Catch Up
Ava and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also catch up-and Ava has an odd response to Nina’s obvious questions-she probably noticed Ava sitting with Drew, and wondered why.
Ava tells her “necessity makes for strange bedfellows!” meaning she wouldn’t have been plotting with Drew if it weren’t necessary.
Nina’s interruption may delay Ava trying to distract Jack, although a promo video showed her stirring a white substance into a glass of bourbon-the implication being it’s Jack’s.
Jack being knocked out from ingesting a mickey certainly could be a distraction, all right, but he’ll recover-if a mickey is all that substance is! But the Metro Court Gardens probably isn’t the best place to drug a WSB station chief, where’s she going to stash him while he sleeps it off?
Drew Gets Waylaid
Drew gets waylaid, which could be because of his interaction with Martin Grey, (Michael E. Knight) also in the Metro Court Gardens, in the restaurant.
Martin has some questions-which could refer to the white substance that Ava later stirs in Jack’s drink! Martin questions why Drew wants it, and who does he plan to use it on, which could certainly put a crimp in Drew’s plans!
On the other hand, given that Ava does have that white powder she stirs in the drink, what Drew is asking Martin for may be something else, and for someone else! After all, Drew and Ava’s main target is Sonny, once Jack is out of the way.
