General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Nina Reeves and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) might seem like mortal enemies now, but friction can often lead to chemistry when it comes to the land of Port Charles.
Nina’s portrayer, Cynthia Watros, recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD), offering a tease that Nina and Brennan could end up turning their bantering into a bonafide romance.
Cynthia Watros’s Thoughts On A “Brina” Romance
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Brennan might be in a relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright); however, once he learns about her cheating (on all sorts of levels) with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that romance will be blown to smithereens! When asked about the possibility of Nina and Brennan hooking up, Watros tells SOD, “I love the idea!”
Adding, “I think they have some things in common because Brennan has his work, but he doesn’t have a lot of friends, and he doesn’t have a whole lot of family. He seems pretty isolated.”
The EX Factor
Interestingly enough, Carly has scooped up Valentin, Nina’s ex, and if Nina ends up in a romance with Brennan, she’ll be dating Carly’s ex, Brennan.
With that said, once Nina finds out that Carly and Valentin are together, this could also bring her and Brennan closer. “I can only imagine how much that’s going to trigger Nina,” Watros states. She goes on to say, “I don’t know if Nina and Valentin would ever get back together, but she always has love for him, so I’m sure she is not going to like the idea of him and Carly being together! I think she’s going to be really hurt.”
Looks like they’ll be swapping partners; however, this isn’t the first time Nina has dated one of Carly’s past loves, as Nina was married to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), had a romance with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), and quickly hopped between the sheets of another, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) – among others.
Watros jokes by saying, “I guess we travel in small circles. There aren’t a lot of eligible guys in Port Charles — we have to recycle!”
