General Hospital Spoilers: The Many Red Flags That Signal Nathan is a Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) has been raising red flags since his first week back in Port Charles. At first, many fans thought he might be some kind of clone, sent back to terrorize everyone and do Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) bidding from beyond the grave.
Now, it seems like the trajectory might be leaning a bit more toward Peter August (Wes Ramsey) having some sort of score to settle, rather than his father.
If Nathan is secretly Peter, it’s bound to have something to do with wanting a covert way to re-enter Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) life — and bring her to her knees the way he likely thinks she did to him.
Fans would be wise to stay hip to what’s going on with Nathan, as it seems like almost everyone around him is blissfully unaware of his strange and puzzling behavior. Everyone except this one person, anyway.
Britt Wasn’t Buying It
From the moment that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) heard her brother was back from the dead, she was less than thrilled. No one could really understand her attitude, but they seemed to shrug it off, perhaps assuming it was nothing more than Britt’s inherently difficult nature and snarky attitude shining through.
After all, she of all people shouldn’t have a hard time thinking someone who was supposed to be dead suddenly wasn’t. But her concerns grew when she realized Nathan would be cozying up to her nephew, James West (Gary James Fuller).
It seemed like she didn’t think things through enough to realize no one had any reason to push pause on that relationship, and her hesitancy to co-sign it signaled that maybe she knew something about Nathan that everyone else didn’t know.
Maxie Won’t Either
I know I’m not alone in suspecting that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is probably going to be the next person on the list to figure out something is amiss with Nathan. He’s sending up plenty of warning signs.
The mishandling of evidence at the PCPD — a mistake Police Commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) seemed to overlook rather quickly.
The fact that his muscle memory doesn’t appear to be intact as he’s lost all skill on the baseball field. The mention to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) that his father taught him the entire periodic table.
And of course, his willingness to jump into a relationship with Maxie’s best friend while she was laying in a coma in a clinic where he never once visited her. It irks me that no one has thought that was odd this entire time.
But when Maxie starts doing the math, I think she not only may see that Nathan isn’t himself, but she might spy some creepy signs that he’s acting just like Peter.
Does Nathan Know?
The million dollar question is whether Nathan has any awareness of who he is. Just because he doesn’t know where he was for seven years doesn’t mean he’s lying about it.
He really may not know. Some fans suspect he was dead all along, frozen in time somehow, and that Peter’s memories have been implanted into Nathan’s body that was somehow revived with the technological advancement only a guy like Faison could pull off.
If that’s the case, does he know he’s Peter, or does he only know himself as Nathan? He can’t have both Peter’s memories and Nathan’s, right? Who does he think he was before Nathan’s “death?” I hope we find out sooner than later. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers up ahead.
