General Hospital (GH) star Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) on the ABC daytime soap) posted a lovely old photo of herself with the late Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio). Read on to see it and find out what she said.
The Throwback Photo
Late on Wednesday night, the real-life Anna Devane took to her Instagram and shared a black and white photo. In it, they stood together looking down and around.
In her caption, Finola Hughes explained:
This has always been my most favorite photo of Tris and me. I finally found it buried in my pics, it was part of Anna & Robert’s backstory. We were hiding or something. Anyway, it’s my favorite photo!
Fans & ABC Cast React
One of the first people who responded to the throwback photo of Tristan Rogers as Robert Scorpio was Laura Wright (Carly Spencer). She penned, “Love this !!!”
Well, it’s not clear exactly which episode of General Hospital the photo came from. However, some folks claimed they recalled seeing it. One of them wrote, “I remember that. I miss Tristan.”

The Storyline
Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio’s storyline is one that many GH fans treasure. Back in 1985, Anna turned up under an assumed name. However, the truth arrived and ABC fans discovered she was actually Robert’s past wife.
The first time they married, it ended and she kept her daughter, Robin, a secret. Later on, their paths crossed again, slowly pulling them closer. Working with the WSB brought them back together, reigniting feelings that faded years before.
Robert was deeply in love with and married to Holly Sutton before Anna ever showed up on GH. Her arrival created one of the top love triangles in soap history. Naturally, he felt stunned that his “dead” wife was alive and that they had a child.
Anna dipped into more than a few tangled affairs one after another. Of course he disapproved. Still, something held them close and much more followed.
Tristan Passed Away
On August 15, 2025, Tristan Rogers died at the 79, when he lost his battle with lung cancer. Fans feel the weight of losing him deeply, and so does Finola Hughes.
