General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Has Words with Brick About Nina, But Why?

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came back from Nixon Falls a changed man, no matter how much he tried to deny it to himself. It’s been a bumpy ride for Sonny and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). They stepped back from one another long enough to let the dust settle after Sonny’s family imploded, but ultimately, the pair found their way back into each other’s arms.

Despite repeated warnings from others close to Sonny, he’s continued to close the gap and open his heart to Nina. That will make it much harder to receive news from Brick (Stephen A. Smith) that he too thinks Sonny should be cautious about the new love in his life.

General Hospital Spoilers — Brick Meets Nina

So far, Sonny has kept hard lines drawn between his personal and professional lives. Nina wasn’t curious about his business, and Sonny never wanted to endanger her. He’s kept the two worlds separate on purpose, but as he welcomes Nina more into his inner circle by allowing her to be a part of his daughters’ lives, he sees no reason to keep her away from his business practices anymore. Sonny is going to introduce Nina to Brick, but their meeting might not go the way he expected.

GH Spoilers Indicate Sonny Senses Brick’s Hesitation

Brick will be cordial and friendly to Nina, just as he has been to every friend or associate of Sonny’s over the years. However, Sonny knows Brick well and can sense Brick is putting on a good face during his introduction to Nina. Why does Brick have to pretend though, and what is he holding back? Sonny is going to demand answers, but not while Nina is around.

Could Brick have already done his due diligence and looked into Nina’s background before Sonny properly introduced them? If so, what could he possibly know about Nina that Sonny and the rest of Port Charles don’t at this point? Is there a chance he’s unearthed the truth about Nina being Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) mother? It’s possible, but that shouldn’t make Brick apprehensive about Sonny being involved with Nina. It’s far more likely Brick has the same concerns as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow) have relayed — that Nina isn’t who she seems, and she is driving a wedge between Sonny and all the people he’s ever cared about.
